Look at this cockatiel walking around, unable to fly, but already experiencing an incredible new chapter of his life.

Yes, this means another new bird has joined the huge aviary in my garden. Watching birds move into this space and explore everything for the first time is always a special moment.

And speaking of new beginnings, you know I already have chickens and a rooster. Now, collecting their eggs and successfully hatching them gave me my very first chicken chicks — a huge achievement for me.

But I also need to control myself, because knowing me, this could easily turn into a 1,000-chicken backyard project!
