After four years of waiting, it finally happened… my cockatiels laid eggs in their nest box!
Meanwhile, Gary, my hand-fed budgie, is doing great—but Rumi isn’t too happy about all the attention he’s getting. The guinea fowl chicks are also reaching a big milestone as I clean their brooder for the very first time. Since hatching in the incubator, their lives have been simple: eat, sleep, and sit under the heat lamp all day long.
Of course, the budgies are still being budgies, creating their usual chaos. In fact, I’ve even started considering something I’ve never done before—separating all the females from the males. Is it a good idea or a terrible one? You’ll have to help me decide.
A lot is happening in the garden today, so let’s get started.
