I recommend getting a new budgie. Budgies are social animals and may die if left alone. However, if you are able to provide 2 hours of daily interaction, plenty of toys, and a place to fly freely in, then, you don’t have to buy a companion.
So, it’s up to you.

My budgie really loves his mirror, he never leaves it except to eat, and when I take it away he doesn’t do anything. Is this ok?
