Hi, your budgie is in shock. They are very sensitive to stress, especially when their predator attacks them. Do as your vet told. You need patience and wait. I wish your budgie recovery. If your budgie is disturbed by female Budgie, then separate him for a calm place where he can rest. Good luck

Also, the transplant recovery takes almost 1 year until I can come back home.

That is wrong. You should never keep two pairs, or two females and a nest box. They may fight or kill babies. Choose what pair you want to breed and separate them.
