Hello,
My male and female budgies had two babies 1 month ago. And the male started to attack one of his babies, so I bought a cage and I put the baby into that cage. I wanted to know if I did the right thing or not. And if not what’s the solution. By the way, the baby is alone now but she can eat well. She seems a bit sad though. The cages are next to each other. In one there are 3 budgies (father, mother and another baby) and in another there is the baby which I talked about earlier. Is it ok for their cages to be next to each other?
Sorry it took so long. I’d be thankful if I get response.
You did right. If male or female start attacking younger budgie, it is better to separate. Do not worry, when all babies grow and you stop breeding, you can join them. Just provide enough space for all of them. Good luck
