If anyone has any experience making natural wood perch stands for their birds i would love some advice. I got some silver maple branches and am wanting to make a hangout spot for my budgies when they are out of their cage. I read to soak the branches in bleach water to disinfect but was not sure on before or after the bark removal. I already removed the bark do i still soak them in bleach water or not. Is their a way to save the branches to use for them. It took me a while to peel it completely clean. Tia
