Hi there,
I recently bought a store cockatail and am not really sure how do i tame it like first steps and that, i set up a small cage until i get a bigger cage for him tomorrow but am really not sure how to tame him cus he does actually try to bite and whenever we get too close to his cage he threatens to bite and make sound so i just put him in the cage and hanged it on the wall with 2 of my other canary birds there. Could you help me a bit into telling me these steps of taming him? Am worried i might do smth wrong on my own.
Bye.

Taming a cockatiel requires patience and gentle handling:
- Give Space: Allow your cockatiel to acclimate to its new environment for a few days without handling.
- Slow Approach: Gradually approach the cage and talk softly to build trust.
- Hand Feeding: Offer treats through the cage bars to associate your presence with positive experiences.
- Short Sessions: Start with short taming sessions, gently placing your hand inside the cage without forcing interaction.
I made a lot of taming videos, should check them out
