Every night, I cover my budgie with a towel. He always flaps heavily and freaks out. I calm him down by talking to him and massaging him. In the morning I see his water is all gone and the towel is all wet. Does he spit it at the towel?

It is possible that your budgie is spitting water onto the towel when he flaps his wings. Budgies often engage in behaviors like this, especially when they are feeling stressed or uncomfortable.
It is also possible that the wetness on the towel is from water vapor, especially if the room is humid or if the budgie is in a small enclosed space. However, if your budgie is flapping heavily and appearing distressed when you cover him with the towel, it is likely that he is also spitting water onto the towel.
