Hey Alen !
I’ve a pair age difference is not much, i guess it’s 2-3 month, and they have mated and female has given 5eggs and after than she’s being so aggressive towards male, she doesn’t want to see him inside the cage and never let him inside. During night she always attack him suddenly during his sleep from her nest,I have to put him away from her. He’s very afraid to be inside the cage and he has minor cuts around his neck. Plz suggest something to keep him calm. ASAP
It is common for female budgies to become more aggressive after laying eggs, especially during the breeding season. This is usually due to hormonal changes and the instinct to protect their eggs and nest.
Provide a spacious cage, that will give your budgies plenty of room to fly, play, and interact with each other.
If the aggression is severe, consider separating the male and female budgies into separate cages to give them some space and reduce stress.
