I’ve had my budgie for a little while and he’s comfortable with me when I’m around him. I’ve been trying to tame him for awhile. I can get my hand Close to him but if I get to close he gets scared. I’ve put food in my hand to see if he would eat from it. He doesn’t but I keep trying if he starts to pant I leave him alone and he clams down. What should I do??

You need patience. Some Budgies never comfortable with the step up because they have the trauma of poking fingers in them and scaring them. You need time and patience as I said. Never force your Budgie it will only get worse. Enjoy your budgies company and in time he will get on it. This video may help you here
