Preventing mating

To prevent budgies from mating, remove any nesting materials, such as nest boxes or hollow spaces, and ensure they have shorter daylight hours to reduce breeding triggers. Separating males and females or housing them in same-sex pairs can also help reduce mating behavior.

Mating can be prevented by isolating the female
