Hi Alen my female budgie’s cere is unusual. she is a green parakeet but something in brown colour is there above her cere (approximately for a two millimeters above her cere).
Is that any symptoms for her aging or any negative health comments? Please help me Alen.
by the way she is mating now, do any prblm cause in her mating because of that brown colour above her cere? and my male budgie is mating his daughter even though his daughter is not ready to mate, her cere doesn’t change its colour to white from pink, so i separated them but they became very aggressive, i don’t know what to do. pls help me.
I think that means that is a hormonal change, she is in the breeding season, ready for mating. I think there is nothing you can worry about, except if gets larger to cover her vents for breathing, then get her to the vet. You should never breed blood siblings.
