Hello, I have had my budgies for a long while now. I was foolish and didn’t do enough research, so I listened to what the pet store said. The pet store told me to let them out of the cage after 3 days of owning them. I did this and my budgies have been scared of me ever since. There are 2 in one nice big cage, I just want them to be able to get out and enjoy life. One is a little better with me than the other. I talk calmly and nicely to them everyday, I offer my hand in the cage to no avail but I’ve never grabbed them or yelled at them. I’m at a loss, I just want them to have a happy life.
Hi there, it sounds like you care a lot about your budgies. Try giving them some time and patience. Speak softly, offer treats, and let them come out on their own terms. They’ll likely become more comfortable with you over time.
